It is no longer a legal requirement, to wear face masks in shops. However, it would be appreciated, if those with "Flu like" symptoms postpone their visits. Despite the relaxing of restrictions, only one customer (Or party), at a time, is allowed to enter the shop. Please wait by the gate, if there is someone in the shop when you arrive (Or join queue if already formed).

Hubs - Spares Axles, Cones and Seals Rear

If you cannot see your cone listed, see https://si.shimano.com/en/#/ and if it is no longer available from Shimano, see http://wheelsmfg.com/products/all-cones.html. We can obtain these parts from Madison Cycles. rnrnCone adjustment is made much easier if done with the aid of an axle vice.

Aside from cleaning and re greasing cones, at 1000 mile intervals, another equally important thing, is correct adjustment. With quick release hubs, leaving a little play in the cones, allows for the tightening effect of the QR skewer. Placing two spacers over the ends of the axle (In place of the stay ends) and inserting the QR skewer, allows you to feel how tight the cones will be once in the bike. In addition to using the correct cone spanners, it will be much easier to achieve correct adjustment of the cones, if you use an axle vice.
